I think he markets his BS to the PBS audience, often made up of
yuppies looking for answers at the subliminal level. Beware, though,
regular doctors are to be trusted even less. ;)
The Wise Tibetan Monkey says:
"TRUST NO ONE IN THE JUNGLE"
C'mon, imagine a banana when you are hungry and eat it too. ;)
Not always he talks BS though. ;)
I find it interesting that he sees the end of the male predator (the
king of the jungle) at the next step in evolution. That's almost what
I say. I don't see the end of it, but I see the need to put it in the
cage...
(yes, all those SUV drivers)

Or, see Michael Shermer and Sam Harris recent debate with uber woo
Deepak Chopra and someone called Jean Houston – the subject being

The USA's historic slide into New Age backwardness is just as worrying
as its fundamentalism!

And he's given prime time on public media, which is assumed to be the
"smart media."
You know what, I used to listen to news in PBS, but now I stopped
completely. The real thing is in the Internet.
Dalai Lama, I think, is another clown used by the system to say
platitudes.
I agree the "Dalai Lama, I think, is another clown used by the system
to say platitudes." Yeah, and he's certainly been paid a lot by the
West for dribbling his religion. But, that's religion and politics
for you!

BS walks and money talks.
Once I went to one of his presentations where he spoke about
"democracy," and I stood outside to hand out my own fliers (telling
the reality of the "money jungle" out there), and I was
unceremoniously escorted out of the outside of the university where he
gave the presentation.
Lots of yuppies there.

Chopra is a total charlatan preying on sick people and those who fear
their own mortality.
<<Deepak Chopra is a graduate of the All India Institute of Medical
Sciences (1968) and a former leader of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's
Transcendental Meditation and Ayurvedic medicine programs.>>
This makes me question the validity of the All India of Medical
Sciences. TM and Ayurvedic "medicine," well, now that makes sense,
He is one of those who blame people for their illnesses, *all*
illness, not just lifestyle and substance abuse illnesses.
He is an ass,
Thanks for the link.

There are so many phoney so-called universities in India that getting
a doctorate from the TLC universty of Medical Sciences is cheaper and
as valid. Just send me $50 for a doctorate, or $75 and a photo, if
you wish a photo of youself, wearing mortar board and gowns, recieving
it at a university ceremony.

Boy, this my shamanic philosophy, "Whatever doesn't kill you, makes
you stronger."
But I won't give you BS or prolong the pain like Western doctors. ;)
