Well dam how should I start. For any God lovers out their lets do a
test. If your god lives then ask "HIM" to knock on your door in 15
seconds. If you get no knock your god does not exist.

Ask POTUS (President of the US) to knock on your door in 15 days. If
he doesn't, POTUS doesn't exist.

Hi Paul.
Welcome to AvC.
I don't have a god to do the test on,
but I think it's a good idea for our
Christian (and whomever else) colleagues
to give it a shot.

Good test. After all, since he's allegedly everywhere, presumably he'll hear the request.

Gord works in mysterious ways. It could be two weeks later that the
Holy Rollers show up at your door to convert you from your sinful
ways. If you test Gord, he will not come. The "Belief" policy.

It's a ridiculous test. If that's not obvious at first glance - just
remember the argument from ignorance fallacy.
The fact that Paul can't get the very specific piece of evidence he's
asking for - in other words - a lack of evidence - is never valid
grounds for an argument. A lack of evidence is not evidence of
lacking.

Nice to see a theist clued in ;-D.
I agree. Lack of evidence isn't evidence of lack.
However, there is other evidence of Dawkins existence.
Can we say that about your god?

Well, this test to me is more like a joke. More salient issues could b discussed. Like did God actually receive d blood of humans just to appease himself(like in d case of Jefta or d murder nd sacrifice of Jesus). Was their any moral sense in an innocent man dieing for the crimes of others??. Did God truely destroyed d whole world with water and left only d family of Noah. Lets nt turn this debate of God existence or lack of it into just a demand for an evidence that's digressing from serious discussion(s).

Or just didn't answer the request in the affirmative. :)

I think the issue of God's failure to answer prayers is salient to the issue of God's existence.

Jesus and God are the same guy, from what I've been told. If they aren't then Christians are polytheists, and I don't think they're going to like that.
> Was their any moral sense in an innocent man dieing for the > crimes of others??
If Jesus and God are the same guy then I don't think Jesus was particularly innocent. In fact, I regard them/him as the ringleaders of a plot to torture most of humanity for all eternity.

No, unless the universe runs by magic (and not the physical laws we think we have discovered).

I don't regard the subjects you raised as any more (or less) serious than the subject of God's inability to answer prayers.

You have provided no valid reason for me to believe "intermediaries" like you, so I don't. I'll stick with the reasonable explanation - God doesn't answer prayers because he doesn't exist (except as a figment of your imagination). Good thing, because your God sounds like a total dick.

Unfortunately this presumes the existence of a god. That's a presumption that it would be hard for atheists to make for obvious reasons.
> Was their any moral sense in an innocent man dieing for the > crimes of others??.
This is a good question and speaks to the type of morality that is advocated in the Bible. Why don't you start a thread on it? I'm guessing it will be a popular one :-D.
> Did God truely destroyed d whole world with water > and left only d family of Noah.
Same problem as the first question. You really can't expect atheists to accept that presumption.
However, if you wanted to ask if the Bible claims are possible or if there's evidence that this could have happened that would probably work.
> Lets nt turn this debate of God > existence or lack of it into just a demand for an evidence that's > digressing from serious discussion(s).
Actually we've had some very good and serious discussions on that topic with people who attempt to debate the various theological arguments using reason.
