ich habe folgendes Problem. Ich moechte mein Notebook per UMTS ins Netz.
Mein Notebook ist ein HP Pavillion dv6000, als OS verwende ich ein Ubuntu
8.04, frisch von der CD installiert. Mein Modem ist ein HUAWEI E220 mit
einem Vertrag von A1. Der PIN der SIMKarte ist deaktiviert und im
Chatskript deshalb der PIN Befehl nicht drinnen. Unter Windows geht alles
wunderbar.
Ich bin nach der Anleitung von

Gleich eine Frage vorweg: Was chatted Windows? Hast du im Logfile schon
nachgeschaut?

Laeuft das Modem auch richtig? Ich habe die Anleitung ueberflogen, da
steht USB0-2, das habe ich in deinem Logfile nicht gesehen.
Da meldet sich das Modem nicht. Das muesste mit OK kommen. Irgendwie
verstehen sich Rechner und Modem nicht.
Was du da als User oder Passwort eingetragen hast ist egal, soweit
kommst du gar nicht.

Unter Debian hatte ich mal das Problem, daß ein Kartenleser erst
funktioniert hat, als ich das zweite Mal lsusb eingegeben habe (als
root).
Ansonsten: Ich verwende das gleiche Modem mit yess und PIN. Manchmal muß
ich es öfters versuchen (bis zu 3 Mal). Aber ich vermute, daß das
sowieso tust.

habe nach weiterem suchen im Forum der Ubuntu-Austria-Group erfahren das
eventuell das Modul airprime zu deaktiviert werden soll. Werde das heute
Abend mal versuchen.

Ich hab mal auf einer gentoo Kiste das Problem gehabt, dass beim
Anstecken des Modems die Devices ttyUSB0 und ttyUSB1 zuerst und dann
sofort wieder weg waren.
Nach genauerer Analyse bin ich drauf gekommen, dass mir der HAL in die
Quere gekommen ist. Nach einer Suche mit Google hab ich den Tip
gefunden, eine Rule für den HAL anzulegen.
Leider finde ich die Seite mit der Rule nicht mehr - sorry.
