Subject: Direct Links to files
I was able to pull our iTunes U feed and plug it into Feedburner. So
now we have trackable information on subscribing to our videos (which
is one of our tabs within iTunes).

You can see the feed here:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheLibraryChannelVideo

I then used that feed info to create direct links to some of our files
and plug those into the html reference pages where the streaming
versions live. Now viewers have the option to stream or download our
video without using up extra space on our local servers.

Heres and example:
http://www.asu.edu/lib/librarychannel/video/video5.htm

Below each image is a link to download that particluar video without
going through iTunes at all.

One strange bug I found was that on some of our videos (and I don't
know why yet) the link on the feed does not let you download the file a
but sends back this message on the open file box:

"Application/Octet-stream"
