Head-way on Project 3

I started by using the VMWare Windows XP image and VMWare player. I
was able to change the boot order to boot from the Ophcrack live cd
iso for XP. Once I got into Ophcrack however, I kept getting the
message "no partition containing hashes found". I tried using the

Mid-term exam date?

Hi,
The course page says, the mid-term exam is on 12th Oct, but the
Grading page says it's on 15th Oct. Which of these dates is right?

hi all,
this shows brute-forcing of WPA (which salts pwds with the SSID) i
think if you have a pwd which is more than 8 characters you should be
fine.

I complete the first project without knowing that we needed a parter
and am looking for anyone in our class who doesn't have a partner yet
for assignment 2 and later ones.

Calling confused and returning clean

Hi,
Has anyone cracked problem 5? If so, any hints that could be helpful?
Although I could call confused() from victim_func(), and return to
main() and print "Done", the control is going back to victim_func()
after that. I couldn't reason this. Anyone wants to discuss about
this?
