Mr. Katz,
Thank you for your inquire into Free Masonry, There
are several things that are required of all applicants
to a Masonic Lodge, to mane a few: 1) you will need to
live in the area of the lodge for a minimum of 6
months, 2) you will need to have two members of the
lodge that you petition sign your petition.. The 6
months will give you and us time to get to know a
little about each other. You may come by the lodge on
a meeting night to introduce your self and see if you
know any of the men that are members, there are many
masons in all walks of life, some are easier to spot
that others, look for the "Square & Compass" on their
vehicle or in their office, a ring or lapel pin or tie
clasp will sometimes indicate a man to be a mason. Our
Lodge, Ashlar No. 98 meets on the first & third
Thursdays of the month, we start at 7:30 PM so you may
want to arrive about 6:30 to meet some of the members
and have a cup of coffee. Sorry about the first email,
I'm not as familiar with this email system as I am the
one at work.
Sincerely,
Dwight Wilkes, PM Ashlar Lodge No. 98
D.D.G.M. 13th Masonic District
