Hello all,
Practice will begin Tuesday January 8th! Coach Gary will be working very hard to get the team ready for the Spring Matrix season, and it takes everyone practicing to make this happen. This is the year to make our mark on the South and show them what Asheville Rugby is all about. Please make sure that you let Coach Gary know if you are not going to make it, so that he knows how to plan practices. To all new players (and Old guys) to the team we need to get CIPPed, and you can do this online. [link] It's a little different this year, so please read the directions! You will have to be CIPPed before the first game, or you will not be eligible. Please do your job as a member of the team to talk with someone you know and get them out! We need players.

We have had several people inquire about our schedule. Currently, as most of you know, it's not posted. We have had five games canceled on us this season. This has made it very difficult to get a schedule posted. We will have a new schedule posted as soon as we have it finished. This will cover the winter activities and off season training. Please check back often.

Coaches thoughts Asheville 12 verse Johnson City 10
To start with, this was a game of two half's. The first half was not to impressive. Apart from keeping Johnson City out of the try zone, we were slow and some what disorganized. We did make some head way, good counter attacks, even though the pack ambled along. Although we had some new faces on the field, the rookies performed pretty well, considering they had not played the game before.
