Dear arxiv-api users,
I started a web site called "Sciomento" (http://www.sciomento.net), whose aim
is to help scientists in spread (and in receiving) various kinds of Scientific
announcements (such as: events happening, publication of papers,
job opportunities posting,...), in form of newsletters that can be sent
to "finely-selected" lists of registered users.

In order to facilitate the sending of newsletters regarding the
publication of a paper to the Sciomento community, I have recently
implemented a simple API query that retrieves all the relevant
information (title, abstract, authors, journal ref...) about a particular
paper already published on arXiv.
Then, these information are automatically put in the proper fields of the
"Paper Publication Announcement" form in the user's account of the
Sciomento web-site, without the need to do a manual "copy-and-paste".
