May is the annual Bike Month in Baltimore. Lots of stuff happening all
month long.
Events include:
1. MAY 19 - CURTIS BAY BIKE TOUR:
10am-12noon
A tour of Curtis Bay's history by bicycle. Settled along the Patapsco
River in the mid-seventeenth century, the Curtis Bay area has
developed from a scattering of farms, pleasure resorts, and fishing
piers to the backbone of the Port of Baltimore and a center of the
city’s heavy industry.
Tour is conducted by Dr. Nicole King from University of Maryland
Baltimore County and is organized by Baltimore Heritage.
Tour includes Baybrook, the neighborhood featured in Baltimore-
Rotterdam Committee's ongoing artist exchange (the organization that
I'm involved with). This neighborhood is going to be paired up with a
parallel neighborhood in Rotterdam.
Note: there's a good chance this tour will sell out, so get your
tickets soon.
