hello everyone,
i am  very new to artificial intelligence and have never had any
practical confrontation with AI, but i seek to learn about it .
so can anyone please help me where and how to begin.
please provide links to some web tutorial and good books on AI.
all help is appreciated

I would suggest to get the following book from S. Russell and P.
Norvig:
http://aima.cs.berkeley.edu/

It is very comprehensive and covers a variety of AI-related topics. We
use it here in Bielefeld, Germany, as basis for our courses on AI at
University.

If you are more interested in Affective Computing as a subfield of AI
take a look into the book of R. Picard first:
