It looks I'm the first one to post here, so I want to start by
congratulations to the TAB team for this API !
I'm using the API on a little project I should be able to disclose
later next week, and for now, no technical problems, the service is
fast and works pretty well !
I although feel "blocked" by one or 2 points, so, as the title said, I
would just make some "features" request.
Ordered by importance :
1 - Can we have a new node with the fulltext address of the venue ?
2 - Can we have more SearchRange parameters (2000 and 3000 for
exemple)
I'll second the request for greater searchRange params, and I'll add
my wish for a venue hours for the event ?
Still, thanks already for what's available.
I also have a little project of mine, definitely not ready to be
disclosed at least for another month though !..
Thanks
Stan

Welcome to the list, and thanks Alban for being the first to send feedback. I've been a bit slow to answer - my apologies, I was traveling - but I hope we can kick this list alive now.

Thanks! we're looking forward to seeing the data reused in cool apps. Be sure to announce them here!

Excellent. We're really doing our best to provide a fast, uninterrupted service, even though TAB runs as a non-profit organization and relies a lot on volunteer time. There may be some downtime in the months to come - we are looking into hosting all the artbeat sites together on some fast iron, probably outside of Japan - but I'll try to give some advance warning here.

Both seem feasible. The former would be easy and I'm adding it to our tracker as I write this. For the latter, no objection, but we may have to test whether the current server scales before making it a permanent feature. Any particular use case behind the 2000, 3000m SearchRange need? Or would you just rather have a "no limit in distance" (with, quite possibly, a hardcoded limit in the number of events returned, for sanity)?
To quick answer the searchrange question, I personnaly think that an
open range with a max limit xan be perfect.
Like between 1 and 5000 meters. Not sur looking over 5000 is really
usefull and it should cause some overload to your servers.
cheers

Hi Paul Well, some, but much less than I was hoping to have done by now, I must say. Nothing that I can show unfortunately, but now that I think of it, might be time to do something about it! Thanks guys for the updates on the API btw.
