PDFs are not handled directly by Art HTML Listing (AHL), all you can
do is to put a link to them, which AHL will do automatically. Most of
the browsers are capable to display PDFs inline (if a right plugin is
installed) and if they do, then PDFs are searchable.

If you mean to search by a file name, not inside a specific PDF file,

Hello world!
How do I use the frames TOC template, yet keep pdf's searchable when they
are called up?
I love the program; it takes a ton of work out of this, especially for
someone dumb as a brick when it comes to coding, but I use the program to
quickly open a folder with a ton of pdfs & really need search!

Craig,

You need to edit the template. First make a copy of it using a new
name, then edit this copy, then find "fullname" in the template, and
replace it by "name".

Hide file extension?

Anyway to not have the file extension show in the output? Instead of
the link showing up as "filename.ext", I'd like it to just show up as
"filename".

Out of the box - no. It can be implemented using Javascript, but it takes
time.

Sure would be nice to have a true OSX version instead of having to
virtualize it on VMWARE... Any chance of that ever happening..?? Nothing
like it exists in the Mac world so I'm sure it would be profitable as
shareware.

I figured this out not too long after I posted. I tried every
deviation but as soon as I took away that front slash, it worked
great.

Please first uncheck the "Use local icons" checkbox.
When you use image path like '/IndexImages/' you give an absolute path.
Absolute paths begin with a slash. If a path does not begin with a slash,
then this is technically a relative path. So if you want to have a CD
index, you should use relative paths, because you don't know which drive

Hello,

I bought your software a few weeks ago and so far have found it to be
pretty cool for the basic things I need. I am now trying to do a "CD
Index" and am having a few issues. The directory structure is the

Hi Dan,
If you put "forms" into the folder filter, it would filter out all of your
first level folders, as their names would not go through the filter, and
thus you would never get to the second level (where your "forms" folders
are), as all first level folders were filtered out.

First copy the template with Template > Copy Template, then edit the copy.
You need understanding HTML to be able to edit the template.
To get rid of the link replace line # 110

Hello

I've been using the software for a long time (2 years) and i just love
it.
However i noticed that it is very "sharing unfriendly" if we share the
Expandable Version...
If i share my listings with someone that doesn't have the software
installed (everyone) they get :
