Con la llegada de Google Drive nuestra forma habitual de trabajar con
Google Docs combinada con DropBox podría cambiar.

Me subscribí a Drive y aproximadamente 48 horas después se comunicaron
para hacerme saber que lo habían activado.  No parece ser para nada un
proceso traumático, todos mis documentos estaban allí, es
prácticamente un cambio de nombre de servicio, más las aplicaciones de
escritorio nuevas estilo cliente de Dropbox. Con un detalle
importante, en lugar del máximo de 1 Gb, el espacio disponible pasa a
ser 5 Gb en las cuentas gratuitas.

Cierto, además el cliente de escritorio para Mac OSX es prácticamente un
calco del cliente de Dropbox.
A los Gdocs le añade una extensión propia.
Sólo falta que liberen sendos clientes para GNU/Linux y Windows.

Yo tendré que hacer un merge entre Dropbox y Drive. De momento en Dropbox
tengo 9,2GB que iré reservando a proyectos más "clasificados" y Drive para
proyectos compartidos...

¿Google Drive tiene espacio ilimitado?

Recomiendo que le echéis un ojo a la versión Open Source: OwnCloud.

Yo como siempre digo _(y hago): si alguien tiene algún pensamiento de
mejora que me lo comunique y yo le doy los accesos para poner en marcha
cualquiera de estos servicios. Sin embargo sí creo que tener que conservar
un espacio personal que se agota hace más eficientes y menos olvidadizos en
cuanto a limpiar a los usuarios que utilizan dicho servicio...
