As you likely know, the next major release of ARIS will be adding a drastically improved system for player created data points such as images, videos, notes, etc. We are calling it the "Notebook."

If you would like to test the ARIS 1.6 QA Release with the new Notebook features, we would love your feedback on where we are headed.

This version is buggy and a little unrefined, but it should give you the gist of what is being developed.

This version points to a snapshot of the main server so people can test their games on the upcoming client. Editing is done at http://arisgames.org/qaeditor

Hey guys, I'm in the new editor and looking for "Notebook" but don't see it where I would expect it (Under "Add Object").
Am I missing something?

The notebook is the feature we are centering the 1.6 release around. It is a tab in the client that replaces the camera and recorder and provided a general for doing "data" collection of all kinds.

The notebook holds notes, which are things like a text jotting, an image, a video or an audio recording. It allows for them to be shared and commented on. Better yet, we are whipping up a whole requirement system around them so that a quest could be written that requires a player to take a photo in a certain area about a certain topic and that  at least 5 other players have given it a thumbs up.

We just started building support in the editor to modify/view player created notes. It doesn't really work just yet.

If you want to see our planning mockups, they are available at http://code.google.com/p/arisgames/wiki/ClientStoryBoards
