Hi,

I love Argunet! I'm trying to build a collaborative argument website
with the Argunet Server while having very little experience with this
sort of thing. I'm following the previous post on server installation
closely. I have already installed and set up my Apache Tomcat web
server. I have also downloaded the CVS file for the server from
Sourceforge into Eclipse Gallileo. It shows me the following errors:

1.) Project 'ArgunetServer' is missing required source folder: 'work'
2.) The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved
3.) Unbound classpath container: 'JRE System Library [java-1.5.0-
sun-1.5.0.16]' in project 'ArgunetServer'
4.) Unbound classpath variable: 'TOMCAT_HOME/lib/annotations-api.jar'
in project 'ArgunetServer'
5.) Unbound classpath variable: 'TOMCAT_HOME/lib/jasper.jar' in
project 'ArgunetServer'
6.) Unbound classpath variable: 'TOMCAT_HOME/lib/jsp-api.jar' in
project 'ArgunetServer'
7.) Unbound classpath variable: 'TOMCAT_HOME/lib/servlet-api.jar' in
project 'ArgunetServer'
8.) Unbound classpath variable: 'TOMCAT_HOME/lib/el-api.jar' in
project 'ArgunetServer'

How can I resolve these problems before uploading the files to my
server?

Thanks very much,
Xander

well, i think you have to create a "work" folder in your source folder
(don't remember why, just try it).

Before you upload the server you should test it locally. You can use
the Eclipse tomcat plugin to start your server locally:
http://www.eclipsetotale.com/tomcatPlugin.html

Just start your server and try to log in with your Argunet client or
check out the admin area at [YOUR LOCALHOST HTTP TOMCAT
PATH]/ArgunetServer/admin/

If your server is up and running we can register it at argunet.org.
You would get your own address at argunet.org/debates/YOUR-SERVER-ID/

You could then publish your debates from your server on argunet.org. I
don't want to stop you from developing your own web application. But
maybe this will satisfy your needs and save you the work.
And I think it would be cool, if people could access all published
Argunet debates from all Argunet servers at argunet.org

regards,
christian
