I have the same bug. If I kill xulapp-profilemigrator, Firefox 4 will start correctly (it asks me which profile to launch). But then, if I click on a link from another app, the same problem will happen: xulapp-profilemigrator will block the link from opening in firefox-4.0 (although it is already launched), but if I kill it, the link opens.
My compatibility.ini file is similar, except this: LastVersion=4.0b8pre_20101112083320/20101112083320 LastOSABI=Linux_x86-gcc3

Hmmm, this doesn't make sense. Any chance either of you could tar up the contents of ~/.mozilla and send it to me?
