Ravenna, KY To: Update! The shelter informed us this morning that there are actually 2 dogs that were left together for 3 weeks in a small room with no food and water! They are both currently at the Estill County Animal Shelter. The county is currently pursuing charges against the owner that did this to them. We would like to request that you PLEASE DO NOT CROSSPOST, FORWARD, POST ON FACEBOOK, OR ANYWHERE ELSE! We are only sending this to the rescues in our contact list. We do NOT want to jeapordize the efforts of the county to prosecute the owner, so do NOT want this email all over the internet. Normally the county would hold these two due to the ongoing investigation, but due to the females poor health, and the fact that both are so thin and would benefit greatly getting out of the shelter, they have agreed to release them.  The female is Baby Girl and she is actually around 10 years old, NOT 6 years as previously posted. She has an infected uterus that needs to be surgically removed, but this can’t be done until she is in better condition. She is on antibiotics that a local veterinarian provided after examining her and offering the diagnosis. Sparky is 8 years old and a male. Other than being very thin, he appears to be in pretty good condition and good spirits. Both of these dogs are very sweet and get along with other dogs and just love getting petted and getting attention.
