ORGANISERS of a Queensland rodeo have defended their handling of a
bull with a busted leg, after animal rights activists vowed to take
legal action over the incident.

Animals Australia executive director Glenys Oogjes said it took
Warwick Rodeo organisers about 30 minutes to get the bucking bull
Destination Unknown out of the ring on Saturday so it could be put
down.

"He should have been immediately restrained and euthanased. Instead he
was taunted in clumsy attempts to shepherd him out of the arena
despite the terrible injury causing him to collapse repeatedly,'' Ms
Oogjes said.
