After finding my article not correctly resourced at Yahoo Answers, as
well as this guys cut and paste of certain aspects of this article to
draw the wrong conclusion I have added a brief summary and changed the
flow of the article.
This still cannot help if the reader is misled by a person not siting
his sources.
I do plan another Fish as Pets hall of shame post about Yahoo Answers
using this question/answer

although one CAN maintain a healthy aquarium or pond without a UV

success and when one considers the price of many UV Sterilizers vs.
the cost of replacing valuable fish, not to mention time, possible
remedies, and heart ache it is often foolish to dismiss a UV
Sterilizer as an irrelevant piece of equipment
