Hi,
with :

GNU Emacs 24.1.50.3 (i386-apple-darwin9.8.0, NS apple-appkit-949.54)
of 2012-08-04 on braeburn.aquamacs.org - Aquamacs Distribution 3.xdev

1) The message "mouse.el is obsolete" has disappeared. Good :-)
But
2) When I open a "foo.tex" in a new frame, I get a new window named *Compile-Log* with the message "Error: Don't know how to compile nil".
3) When I ask: Aquamacs --> About Aquamacs Emacs, I always get the correct frame + a "ghost " frame of my foo.tex.

For the second point :
The reason for the "Error: Don't know how to compile nil" message is discussed here :
http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/auctex/auctex/font-latex.el?r1=5.193&r2=5.194
It looks like a Auctex bug. I have made by hand the two suggested corrections and now, all is OK.

Frédéric
