I post this for your inspection because, even if this is only due to my
configuration:
1. it never happened on Snow Leopard and
2. this seems to me to be something that no configuration of aquamacs
in elisp should be able to make happen.
It looks like popping up a minibuffer is simply breaking the rendering
altogether....
There is a similar bug in the bugs list that doesn't seem to have
spawned any traffic.
