Hi.

I got help some days ago to compile APRX 2.03 (test 3 452), and is
running on a mac mini, SL (10.6.8), with a USB TNC-X, and a Kenwood TM-
D710. I run Xastir (2.01) on the same computer without any problems. I
want to change from xastir to APRX because I want to run a "full
digipeater" not only fill-in.

But when I start APRX, the ONLY thing thats gets on RF is the beacon
defined in the aprx.conf file (my own beacon, with info about my
digipeater / iGate). NOTHING more is ever transmitted on RF. Also,
when I try to send a beacon from my handheld radio (TH-D72A), its not
recognized by my digipeater (its not displayed in the terminal window,
and its not sent to aprs.fi webpage). If I quit APRX and starts Xastir
again (same computer, same setup, same cable, everything the same,
except the software), the beacon from my handheld is received
correctly by my digipeater (and sent to aprs.fi webpage).

This is the config file I am using. But I have tried several different
settings, and even some of the examples from the aprx manual, but
still the same: APRX never receives beacons sent by RF, and it NEVER
TX anything on RF except from the beacon defined in the config file.

Forgot to mention that when I start aprx, I get a fault message
saying: "could not open pidfile: /var/run/aprx.pid". But aprx starts
anyway, and it does not seems to interupt anything. But maybe this has
something to do with my problem ?

I see the same on my installation on Ubuntu 10.x but I don't think
it's important for the operation, my testinstallation -3 seems to be
working fine as a digipeater/IGate
