Hi,

I just noticed that all activity on appsnap seems to have ceased
around mid-Jun. Is it still under development?

Thanks,
Satya

Hello Satya,
The development of the current incarnation of AppSnap is temporarily
on hold. I am looking into a new architecture that will simplify
further development as well as enhance the experience for users. More
on this as things get more concrete.

Thanks.

Thank you.

Appsnap is still one of the only update managers that works. I hope
you will come up with the next big thing.

Hi

I was also wandering about the same thing. Only found the program
couple weeks
ago and already loving it. It would be great to get some update on
what you are doing
or thinking about relating to the program.

Hello,
AppSnap development has slowed down a bit but is very much active. I am working on a GUI that can better handle the long list (375 and growing) of supported applications. See a screenshot of what we have so far here. Meanwhile, Gabriel has also offered to take charge of maintaining the database which will definitely double the speed of both development as well as expansion of the database.

I would like to call upon more of you who are interested in AppSnap's future to participate in expanding the database as well as contributions in terms of code patches. Reporting bugs or even translating AppSnap into your language will also go a long way. The more help the project gets, the more useful AppSnap will be to all of us. I would also like to thank all of those who have taken the time to participate in whatever fashion.

I tend to keep the AppSnap Twitter feed and the blog up to date on what I'm doing so keep an eye on those as well.

Thanks for your interest.

Best regards,
Ganesh
