AppScale Weekly Newsletter
Hi all! This is our eleventh issue of "This Week in AppScale", our weekly newsletter that keeps you up-to-date on what's going on in the world of AppScale.
AppScale 1.7.0
We added an extra week of development to our AppScale 1.7.0 release, which concluded yesterday. It added in a number of stability fixes to our new Dashboard, as well as more UI updates to improve its look and feel. With that, we've entered our QA phase! You can see what we've QA'ed and what we still have left to QA on our Trello board (see the QA'ed and QA'ing columns, respectively). All of the features there have already been merged into our testing branch, so if you want to try out the newest features that are on the bleeding edge, give it a try!

Community Updates
As usual, we had a great turnout at our IRC Office Hours. Here's a transcript of our chat, in which we talk about the upcoming release and field community questions. In particular, we talk about how to extend AppScale to monitor the network traffic and CPU usage incurred by AppServers running your Google App Engine applications, by using nethogs. We hold Office Hours every week at 8AM PST on Wednesdays, so drop on in and say hi to the team!

We've also got a sandbox booth at Google I/O where our team will be showing off how AppScale works, implements support for Google App Engine apps on-premise and in Amazon EC2 or Google Compute Engine, and can serve your business needs. If you were lucky enough to get a Google I/O ticket, we'd love to meet you!

That wraps up issue #11 - thanks for reading!
