any way you guys can delete all the SPAM in this discussion group? it
seriously decreases the usefulness of it to me as an admin!! I don't
have time to sift through adverts for female escorts from india....
You might want to check out the "Create email list" option to do this.
You could set up a list for each grade (or whatever). When you email
that group, everyone in that group gets the email.
Best regards,
Jerry

But it would be better if you wouldn't have to write down all the
names in a row. Some kind of bulk grouping.
Most important and urgent is, in my opinion, the abiltity to share a
site or a calendar to a GROUP (or email list) of users; let's say to
share with the teachers but not with the students, without having to
type all the teacher's names (40 in my case).
Please, support this request of feature.

> I have set up e-mail lists within our academic community using Google Apps. However, when an e-mail is sent out to everyone on the e-mail list, another accompanying e-mail goes out to all the members of the list with highly inappropriate SPAM..(Angelina Jolie stuff.......and worse).
Obviously we cannot use this mailing list with this type of SPAM going
out.
We have recently started using Google Apps and this activity will
mean that we will have to revert back to our original e-mail system if
we cannot find a solution.
Is there a fix that I can put in from the admin account to stop this
happening.
I'm having a problem with google apps auto-completing e-mail addresses
for accounts that have been deleted. A few times, have created user
accounts but they were misspelled or the person wanted to change their
e-mail address. So, I deleted an account and created a new one.
However, the problem is that the old e-mail address keeps popping up
as a possibility whenever someone sends e-mail.
For example, I accidentally created "Jane Doe
<jane....@myorganization.org>". So, I deleted that and created "Jane
Doe <jane....@myorganization.org>". However, whenever someone in the
organization is writing an e-mail, they start typing Jane Doe in the
"to" and the incorrect e-mail addresses pops up and they
automatically go ahead with that. I know if people took more time to
look it would not be a problem, but of course people are often in a
hurry. Thus, e-mail doesn't get delivered and causes confusion.
How can I prevent these 'phantom' e-mail addresses of deleted accounts
from appearing?
