We are excited to share with everyone a site that was designed by our
friends at Central Piedmont Community College. CPCC has over 10,000
students using Google Apps Education Edition on a regular basis. They
have been generous to share with you, the education community, how
they rolled this out to their students - both from a technical
implementation and from a marketing standpoint. Check out their site
that is complete with migration details, fliers, screen shots, and
more!

Thanks for the inside look at your move! We've also moved to Google
Apps this summer for reasons very similar to your own. I was
particularly intrigued by your uPortal --> Google Start Page migration
plans. We've looked at uPortal but have never really gotten it or any
other portal off the ground because of the sheer complexity and effort
it would take (we're a small university and we're understaffed).
We've got SSO setup but currently it is only used by Google Apps, I
plan to integrate our Moodle site with SSO soon. Like you said, SSO
is definitely the hardest part in an otherwise smooth move to Google
Apps but it is definitely worth the effort to get GA integrated with
our existing LDAP authentication.
Could you keep this group updated when you post the source to your
MyCourses gadget? I am highly interested in that.

Nice. I can't wait to see the "coming soon" parts under the Technical
Resources section.
I'm very, very interested to see the "My Courses" gadget code, and the
PAM module gadget code.
