    Many months ago, there was a an AppleVan presentation which included
    how to use make smaller file size pdf documents using a utility within
    OS X.

    What is that and how is it done? I have a five-page text only pdf
    (scanned from the document) that I want to keep, at least for a while;
    however it is nearly 25MB which is absurd when it should be less than
    a meg considering what it is.

    The current document was made from tif files imported into InDesign
    and a pdf created. My scanner has the capabiity (supposedly) of
    making pdf files but it always gave an error and an empty file.

    Help.

So, since I have two pre-Leopard machines I use, I ask the question,
how do I do it?
