GEnieLamp HyperStudio edition?
|
| |
I recall that there were some issues of GEnieLamp A2 that came out in a version for HyperCard IIGS and also for HyperStudio. I have found the HyperCard versions at apple2scans.net in the GEnieLamp archive, but it does not seem to have any HyperStudio versions (and I can't get the HyperCard ones to run properly either, but that's another issue).... more »

Hi list I have been working on setting up my HP7975 pen plotter (from the 80's ==> moves a little pen around and draws on paper) with my (relatively) modern mac, and have got it to work. On another front, i am looking at getting a serial card for my apple][+. In reading manuals for the plotter they talk about using it with... more »

Reading Apple II disks
|
| |
For many years I've been intending to copy my Apple II floppy disks across to my PC. I tried PC software with limited success and even got hold of an Apple II which unfortunately turned out to be faulty. At Christmas I was given a Kryoflux and was over the moon to find that nearly all of my disks from the early eighties were transferred easily to my PC. A few were no... more »

Switch //e enh from European charset?
|
| |
Hi there - my Platinum //e has some keyboard problems so I swapped it out with a //e enhanced I had on the shelf - unfortunately, this model seems to be a European model with an alternate character set. The 3 key has a pound sign on it etc. In DOS and ProDOS the charset is wrong, in Applicard CP/M it's ok. Is there a softswitch somewhere to switch the machine into the... more »

very specific & obscure //e audio question
|
| |
hi everyone! i'm an electronic musician, and among my many relics i have an apple //e along with all the disks full of games & a couple music programs i had in high school 25+ years ago. for a long time i've been wanting to create a sample library of all the gloriously tweezy bleepy sounds the II can make - of course i'm going to mic it up and record it that way (also being sure to get the sounds of the keyboard and floppy drive, especially the wonderfully awful noise a "DISK I/O ERROR" makes ^_^ ), but the speaker is definitely thin sounding, and i would also like to get a direct "pure" line signal of just the audio itself. i seem to dimly recall that there was something you could do, a command you could enter or some such, that routed the system audio to the "cassette out" jack - is there such a thing or am i imagining it? also i seem to remember that it worked on a ][+, but would it also work on a //e? if anybody knows anything about this it would be a huge help. many thanks in advance. Be Seeing You! :-) --chris... more »

Problems with apple ///
|
| |
Hi all, I recently got an old apple /// from a friend. When first powered it up for the first time, magic smoke came out of the power supply. Before I start to fix the PS, I wanted to be sure that the rest of the machine was functioning, so I hooked it up to an ATX power supply. unfortunately, I see gibberish on the screen. But when I go in to the... more »

Help! Can you identify this sort algorithm?
|
| |
I call it the whatsort because I don't know what it is. Surely I could not have invented a new kind of sort? Can You Identify it? Can you guess it's O-notation complexity? (This is not for a job interview Or a school assignment!) /* ** Whatsort ** ** Consider n numbers, begin with the pair 1,2 ** if the pair is out of order... more »
