Hiking in 2008 
  Anyone hitting the trail this year?? I'm a section hiker so this year I'll be doing Harper's Ferry through MD and up into Southern PA a bit. :)

  Hi... In a week or 10 days, I would like to go hiking/camping on the AT (or another place if you want to recommend a good one) for a couple of weeks. I have lived in Mexico for the past 13 yrs and am moving to Toronto now but have a couple of weeks to enjoy myself doing whatever.   I' a little confused. I thought this was a group of people interested in the AT. Upon my 1st visit, I see 2 messages about the AT, & 14 about microsoft. What's this all about?

Planning a hike 
  I plan to hike the trail mid to late may for 4 days in Virginia. I have prior experience hiking in New Mexico. So, I would like some info on the best place to get on/off the trail. How much gear should I carry? Will we need to have a 4 day food/water supply? I'm not in great shape, not in bad shape I chose this area because it had a lower difficulty... more »
