Hi... In a week or 10 days, I would like to go hiking/camping on the AT (or another place if you want to recommend a good one) for a couple of weeks. Planning a hike

I plan to hike the trail mid to late may for 4 days in Virginia. I have prior experience hiking in New Mexico. So, I would like some info on the best place to get on/off the trail. How much gear should I carry? Will we need to have a 4 day food/water supply?
