Oh no, last newsletters was in May, so much for "frequent" updates...
The reason for the long delay is not that we do not have anything to
write about no no, it's actually the lack of time because we have so
many things to do that would actually be worth writing a newsletter
about.

To improve the situation we are now officially looking for a
Newsletter Maintainer:
http://cinema.elphel.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=182&start=0
If you say you actually like to write something much more instead of
reading newsletters like this one let us know (either through the
above forum thread or the contact form: http://apertus.org/en/contact).
Any help appreciated.

Now to the things that are new:

-) A new Apertus film is completed: Open Land
Watch it here: http://apertus.org/en/node/136 and read more about it
here: http://apertus.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=114&p=1059

-) Nathan has made lots of progress with his Apertus Stereo3D rig:
http://cinema.elphel.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1200#p1200 and shot
the first Apertus based Stereo3D footage (grab those anaglyph
glasses): http://apertus.org/en/node/135

-) We are still looking for a new Logo:
http://cinema.elphel.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=54&start=70

-) We are working on a totally new Apertus website with better
structure, nicer layout and improved readability: http://dev.apertus.org/
and its being discussed here: http://apertus.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=99

-) We now have a dedicated bug/issue management system:
http://bugs.apertus.org/thebuggenie/elphelvision/timeline as discussed
here: http://apertus.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1178#p1178
