spammers.

try to report all the spammed messages (more options->report this
message). May be google will stop them or strengthen its captcha
system. Where's the group administrator!?

or something... and yes where is the administrator that would be Alec Cove
or?

not to mention that links in beginners guide page now take to teen
porn. ok, some of it is good, but it's still off topic.

you can enable moderation on messages, but shouldn't they simply be
filtered by your email service/software?

Whatever we do, let's not let APE or this list die.  Let's give it a
few days, and then perhaps create a new Google group with the APE
source code.  People are actively using APE and this list, so it would
be a shame to abandon it.

perhaps Alec is on vacation... but yeah this list could use some trusted
moderators... there seems to be only 1 group owner who can moderate at this
point.

moving it or splitting up the groups isn't such a good idea... there is a
wealth of info already collected...let it grow

with over 300 members, someone must know Alec personally -- send him an
email and ask if you can moderate -- I nominate Rendall
