Description:   Formulation Scientist – Pharmaceutical Industry:

Formulation scientist needed in the North Jersey region.

Requirements:

·      Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry including direct experience with solid oral products and the delivery technologies utilized for that end.  
·      Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.  
·      Must have experience with solid dosage formulation, controlled release products as well as a working understanding of fluid bed technology.  
·      Must possess good communication, presentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

·      Plan, coordinate, lead and execute product development projects, including formulation, process development, process scale-up and clinical trials material production.
·      Maintain impeccable records of all work performed for our clients.
·      Direct and supervise the support staff assigned to you and your projects.
·      Assist the Business Development Manager, from a scientific perspective, in the pursuit of identifying and closing new solid dosage formulation and product development jobs.
·      Prepare articles for publication in appropriate industry magazines, journals, etc.
·      Prepare and deliver presentations at appropriate industry forums, such as trade shows, scientific group discussions, training seminars, etc.
·      Participate in training seminars.  Participation includes classroom-style presentations, live process demonstrations, etc.
·      Serve as an in-house formulation and process technology resource for those clients who are considering formulation or development trials or, who may be evaluating trial results to determine future activity.
·      Actively seek professional growth through both in-house and external training programs and participate in committees and special projects.
·      Routinely report on the status of projects to your manager.
·      Other duties as assigned.
