Book in Progress Needs Co-Author

One year ago a notice went out on this list about a near-complete book manuscript received from a Mr. Taylor Allen in Ione, California.  This "Freethinkers Handbook" or "User Manual for the Mind" describes how Taylor escaped religious dogma, with de-conversion support and testimonials for others also seeking to break free.

 

Taylor wrote in a cover letter that he had taken his book as far as he could.  "... I cannot finish it, and maybe [an AOF member or friend] might want to take over the project, assuming total ownership of the book.  I need no mention at all. ... I would not want all the work to go to waste, and there are quite a few great lines in it." It did in fact seem like a solid start on a guidebook for those still caught in a struggle between faith and reason, a few hundred pages long, typewritten, well-marshaled, easy to read, with some clever points, but also glitches of syntax and structure which need smoothing-out.

 

AOF asked for someone to work with Taylor to help finish his book.  A few responded with interest.  Unfortunately, AOF's then-President misplaced the contact information.

It might be the next God Delusion -- and riches and fame will be yours.

 

At least, it will be an interesting read.
