Although this seems kind of cool, I wonder if it might not turn out to be
yet another flash-in-the-pan gimmick:

Besides Picasa face recognition and the similar image function in Google
images, it is probably also related to
Jing Baluja 2008 (see

or some follow up:

My guess is, image-swirl works especially (or only) well for hubs, i.e.
very popular motives like Apples, Eiffel towers and Mona Lisas.
