Hey all,
I was just wondering if many antiquist people were going to be
attending CAA 2009 in Williamsburg in March?

The Prof is thinking of proposing a session, something along the lines
of "Excavation to Publication: Developing and applying integrated
digital technologies". (Make of that what you will!) I was just trying
to figure out if its worth the hassle, I'm not sure how many people
are likely to go to the US of A and I thought this might be one of the
best ways to gauge that? The little voices in my head think that a CAA
UK thing would be more fun :p

Emma :)

Emma

I know of at least 3 people who would be interested in contributing to that session (myself included!).

Hi Emma,

I will be attending the UK one but I lack the funds to go to USA,
currently back digging but still searching for a GIS job!

Although I would be interested in hearing what comes out of the
session, has anyone thought about a CAA podcast? or even a youtube
type video? maybe an idea for future conferences.

I assume most members will be at the CAAUK in preference.

We (not the "royal" so much as the OA Tech Hive...) might have
something to say on such a subject :)

Hi Emma
If "...publication" includes dissemination via HERs (esp. on-line) then
we (not royal, but exeGesIS ;-) might be able to make a useful
contribution, but unlikely to be able to justify a jaunt to USA.
Cheers
Crispin

I'm planning to go, but probably going to do a paper/session on the Semantic Web. I'd be happy to sit in your session and heckle though ;-)
