Hi Elvis

I turned on BT on ICS and to check weather HDP is working or not on
ICS I need to have a 'source simulator' which can transfer data to
already installed sink application.
Is there any other method by which i can check HDP
or can i get any .apk or source code of any simulator

The sample_bt_agent is for standard Linux. Something alike can
be done for Android, but there is no ready-to-use sample.

I downloaded IEEE_11073Stack in which i got openhealth,  signove_antidote_hdpsample
when i open signove_antidote_hdpsample in eclipse some error in healthservice.java is comming regarding HealthAgentAPI  and HealthServiceAPI how can i avoid it
and what does openhealth folder contain !!

I paired the android ICS mobile with ubuntu machine.

I found in the D-feet that Helath API is not there in the Bluez.

I tried repairing,restarting,power off the mobile,machine and all.

It is like once in 50 times the Health API is coming

Is there any way to make that Health API up always?

Should we change any ICS version or Bluez version or kernel in the phone  ?

Is there any command to make HDP up and working in ICS mobile ?

If Ubuntu machine is a simulated Agent and the phone is the Manager,
you need some HDP application running on the phone, because BlueZ caches
the information of which services are supplied by a given
device, and it won't expose the Health API for a device if it thinks that
it does not support HDP.

Normally it is not necessary to have the Agent running at the pairing
moment, because even though BlueZ in phone caches the same information,
the Agent takes the initiative of connection, and BlueZ HDP does not reject
the connection just because it was 'unexpected'. It is only a problem when
the Manager should take the connection initiative, but it is seldom the
case.

but whenever i get that HEALTH API in bluez in dfeet then only the manager phone can receive the data from the ubuntu laptop.

Whenever the health API is not the manager cannot receive the data.

 

It is only once in 10 times health API wll appear..so it is a luck basis..Is there anyway to get that health API everytime??

This is quite strange, the problem I used to have is solved by having the
HDP services running at pairing time. If things are right in pairing, Health
API is always available for the device. if not, Health API is never there
unless you manage to force a rediscovery.

Try this script at Ubuntu site to force a rediscover on the device you want
the Health API to work with. Make sure some HDP service is active in the
device. This will update the services cache even if they were not active
at pairing time.

At cell phone, you should have some app running that uses the
Android HDP API. I am not aware of applications in Python that
do that for Android.

hii Elvis,
            I told that iam getting one reading from Nonin 9560 oximeter.But now iam not getting that one reading also.

I downloaded Health service and Health service test activity again and created new shared library but still iam not getting any data.

I tried with ubuntu 12.04, 11.04 (natty) systems and samsung ICS phones(kernel 3.0.8)  but iam getting data from AND BP machie and Weighing scale when i disable the SSP mode in the phone and system.

So Is my Oximeter having problem but it is communicating with My fitness companion and working fine there.
Can u help.
