Can I exclude portions of a page or shortcodes?

Hi,

I've added a shortcode into pages to print the last modified date. I do not want this to print in pages. As I wrote the shortcode, if it is possible, I could detect whether Anthologize is calling it, or not, and don't output to Anthologize pages. Alternatively, is there a way to mark text as not printing, e.g. in the background with something like <!--ignore-->[shortcode]<!--:--> ?

Maybe I can 'hack' something with a bit of CSS to hide the shortcode output... any ideas?

Instead of using shortcode, make a custom field for last modified date, and Anthologize will ignore it.
