Subject: Introduction
Hi Guys,
I just joined the developers team here, because I want to take more
for the grails packaging code.

Some words about myself:
I'm a 30-something IT technology enthusiast, developer, sysadmin and
Open Source believer with an high focus on quality and testing. To say
only with the things most interesting in this group: I'm using Debian
and Ubuntu Linux and am involved in their communities, have some
experience with packaging, but am not actively maintaining a package.
At the same time, I am a Java developer which I did as profession for
the last 8 years or so.

What I'm about to do in this project:
I need grails Debian packages for my own work, and came to ask Marius
how they are built . And now I am here on his invitation :)

Having made myself familiar a bit with the build process, I'm about to
release a grails 1.1Beta1 deb after I tested it a bit tonite or
tomorrow, and I also have some optimizations to propose on the build
script.
I like to manage the code here, at least until I get to make a real
Debian source package, and use the projects download area to make the
deb available.

So far for now - watch for the changelogs...
(But first I'll finally have to prepare the wiki for our just founded
little virtualization technology community - http://www.virtual-knowledge.org
if you're interested in opensource systems virtualization - just fly
by :) )
