HALLELUJAH ! HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN !!!
FANCY PANTS has been found. I got a call from Animal Control in
Williamson County early this morning. They had picked up a greyhound
last night that has our tag on her collar! She was found on the south
side of Williams Drive (evidently she had crossed back over because
she was last seen crossing from south to north) on Addie just south of
Booty's. The Humane Society is closed today and said I could get her
tomorrow. Well, you know there was NO WAY we were going to wait that
long. I said, "She's just been spayed, she hasn't eaten since
Tuesday, and she needs med." So, they released her to me today.
She is terribly skinny (her crash diet) and her feet are very red, but
she has no cuts or scrapes on her. She has a blank look in her eyes
and she's obviously exhausted, but all in all, she's going to be
fine. She's returned to Bob's house for R&R.
The outpouring of concern and prayers for her safety have been
overwhelming. Thanks to everyone who sent us even the smallest
positive energy. Special thanks must go to Doug & Linda Lee and Julie
Bradley who made trips down from Harker Heights & Belton to help
search. Also, thanks to my friend, Marti Miller, who is a dog
psychologist (commmunicator) who spent tons of time with me on the
phone Sunday, Monday and Tuesday trying to find Fancy. Thanks to the
greys who also helped in the search! I don't dare start naming others
for fear of leaving someone out. Thank you every one.
KNICK KNACK
Another piece of good news: Knick Knack has been adopted.
HUG THEM HOUNDS! THEY ARE PRECIOUS!
