GREYT AGA VOLUNTEERS !

A Greyt Big Thanks to each of you that have supported AGA over the
past month. We have had a lot of dates quickly come and go, only to
plan for the next one it seems.

The Plum Creek Dog Fest was a big success. We received a note from the
Plum Creek Dog/Festival Committee how much our presence was enjoyed
with an invitation to return next year. Although the weather was
overcast it was the first big break from the warmer temperatures of
the summer. Our hounds actually got to wear their donation coats to
stay warm! A photo of one of our hounds was published in the Plum
Creek newsletter, which is where we met photographer Charles Quinn and
his wife Susan. Charles took some great pictures of the day and will
be published on the AGA Facebook page soon. Thanks to Kiera for
bringing Dasani, to Fancy Pants, Aristotle, Big Buyer, Lucius and
Niobe for making such a greyt turn-out!

Next we had another greyt turn out at the Great Outdoors Nursery. AGA
is always greeted with open arms by the staff, and they go out of
their way to make sure we have everything we need. Thanks to Swinger,
Kiera, Champ, Athena, Niko, Gracie, Maya, Lucius and Niobe for being
the greyt ambassadors you are! It is so much fun to see how much the
hounds enjoy being together for those couple hours, along with taking
full advantage of the ear scratches and petting to be had, of which
there never seems to be a shortage. Photos will be uploaded soon to
AGA’s Facebook page. Please be sure to add AGA to your Facebook Groups
and feel free to upload any of your own photos there.

Special thanks goes to Craig, Michele and Kiera for filling in for Mac
& Rob at the South Park Meadow M&G while they were on vacation. We all
really appreciate you being there for the group and keeping up the
appearance of Austin Greyhound Adoption at PetSmart!

Most recent was the much-awaited Celtic Festival. This is another
venue where AGA continues to grow in popularity not only by the CF
committee but also of the crowd. Our handsome hounds invoked a steady
stream of interest (as well as ear scratching and petting) from
passersby. Thanks to Bobbie for keeping this event going. We’d also
like to recognize Charles and Susan Quinn for spending the day with us
and enduring the overcast skies to take some fantastic photos of the
hounds. Mac & Rob were convinced Susan was going to find a way to
sneak Big Buyer into their trunk to take home. Look for the photos to
be posted on the AGA Facebook of this event soon. Joey, Big, Lucius
and Niobe all put on a greyt show in spite of the rain.

AGA salutes all of our volunteers who never cease to amaze us by
devoting a part of their day talking greyhounds. We know how busy life
can be but it is time well spent when it is shared promoting greyhound
adoption. We never grow tired of discussing the joys of greyhound
ownership whether it is with one of you or a potential adopter. If
anyone is interested in family holiday photos with your greys please
consider contacting Charles Quinn. His prices are very reasonable and
his work is outstanding. Email: ccqu...@gmail.com to inquire.

Chloe, Gatzby, Big Buyer, Daisy, Fancy Pants, Time For Me, Clarice,
Smokey, Contender and Vanilla Ice showed up to wow the folks at the
Harker Heights M&G. It's a great venue. Thanks to everyone.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE PARADE?

Every year AGA has a float in the Chuy's Parade held on the Saturday
after Thanksgiving. There is room on the float for those who want to
ride if walking the length of the parade route is not your cup of
tea. Crowds love the greyhounds, and we get lots of clapping when we
roll by. Mark your calendar now. The parade kicks off at 10:30 am.
Details will follow in next week's newsletter. It's so much fun. If
you're new to AGA we guarantee that it won't be your last parade!
(BTW, the monthly M&G at Georgetown is cancelled so everyone can
attend the parade.)

GREYT JOB, EVERYONE!
