THE CELTIC FESTIVAL IS HERE - TOMORROW!

The Celtic Festival is here, and AGA still needs some volunteers! AGA
representation will be on Sunday this year. Although wee’ve got the
spots filled we could always use some additional ambassadors to show
for this event. So many people reference the Celtic Festival as the
place they met AGA and some adopted from this event! As you know the
best chance for any adoption is to be seen! So, with that in mind,
please consider bringing your foster!

If that’s not enough to get you out- perhaps this will be! We will
have Charles Quinn, photographer with us taking photos of the AGA
hounds. We met Charles at the Plum Creek Dog fest and he took some
great photos. Photos taken of your pet will also be available for
purchase. He really does do a nice job and it’s easy to see how much
he enjoys photographing the greyhounds!

Greyt Big Thanks to all who have already signed up to volunteer for
the Celtic Festival. Below is a list of times filled by our wonderful
volunteers!
9:30-10 Set Up: Mac, Rob (Lucius/Niobe), Pam (Athena)
10-11:30 Pam
11:30-1: Jill (Gracie)
1-2:30: John (Joey)
2:30-4: Lara, Tish (Cherry), and Erica, Mike, Anna (Swinger)
3:30-4 Pack Up: Rob, Mac (Tish, Lara)
Bobbie, Rob and Mac (along with Lucius and Niobe) will also be there
throughout the day.

Please feel free to forward this newsletter to anyone who might wish
to volunteer/attend. All volunteers must complete a formt and bring it
with them to the gate for admittance. If you are interested in just
coming out for the dog parade please let us know, although time may
not be posted until same day- you are free to hang out at the AGA tent
and discuss greyhounds!
Hopefully the weather will be as beautiful as it has the past couple
days! We’re looking forward to seeing you and the hounds! If you have
any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Mac or Rob at 656-4683
or Bobbie at 577-3192. Bobbie is also available to take your foster
to the event should you be unable to attend.

HARKER HEIGHTS M&G TOMORROW, TOO.

The regularly-scheduled M&G at the PetSmart in Harker Heights will
also be tomorrow, Saturday, from 1-3 pm. If you live in north, please
don't hesitate to come help us out for two hours. You may contact
Julie Bradley at 254-213-2005 or jcbra...@yahoo.com for more info.

TWO NEW PUPS

"Vanilla Ice" is my name (another white rapper is not my game)., but
being a real head turner with the ladies is "MY" claim to fame. My
white buffed body of 72lbs. with a single fawn patch puts all the
other males to shame. A Grade "A" status at the Valley Race Park,
proved to all, that I was no lark. Only being three years of age will
tell you, that I still have plenty of bark. Just arrived on the scene
but odds are on the subject of living with small dogs/cats, I'm not to
keen.

Nothing like a Texas gal. I was born, raised, and raced all in the
Lone Star state. My name is "Secret Space". I am a red fawn female.
Since it's not really nice to ask a lady certain things, I'll just
tell ya that I'm three years old and have a smallish frame of around
55lbs. Being quick for my size got me 14 races at both Harlingen
Valley Race Park and Gulf Greyhound Park. My quickest time was thirty
seconds. Left all them good ole boys in the dust that day. Along the
way, I lost interest in always making left turns, don't ya know.
Would rather run and play with you in the back yard. Not sure just
yet what to do with those little fluffy critters ya'll call cats and
small dogs. Will figure it out and get back to ya real soon.

Watch for their photos on our website!

HAVE A GREYT WEEKEND. REMEMBER, HUG THEM HOUNDS.
