Suggestion for future projection

My finances don't fit any specific month-end date, so the notion of "projected end-of-month balance" doesn't make sense, regardless of the end-date chosen.

Would it be possible to have an option to make the future projection simply "next 30 days"? This would be much more useful for me.

I'm sure my situation isn't unique - I receive retirement income from a number of sources, but they all pay on different days of the month. My various monthly outgoings are paid on different days as well. So although everything happens on a monthly cycle, there is no specific day when one fiscal month ends and the next begins. It's just a rolling month, so whenever I want to look ahead, it's always "x days from today".

It would be nicest if "x" could also be a configurable number, so it could be set to look, say, 14 days ahead if desired.

Any chance of adding this feature?

Thanks, Rick

Hi, using the Net Worth report and the Next 30 days option, you can do that.  But right now, that's literally the next 30 days, even for a 31 day month.  I will make a change for the next release where this will be a full month.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom

Thanks, although I wasn't actually thinking of that report!

It's the figure available for the balance of an individual account that I'm concerned about, where it pops up the various balances. I find that very useful to be able to see a future figure, but I would find "x days ahead" more helpful than "month end". I envisage "x" as a globally configurable value.

It would also be good to have the equivalent feature for the overall total on the account-list screen. I'd love to be able to tap at the bottom and see cleared, reconciled, projected etc. figures for the total balance.
