Subject: Creating Image based flashcards

I apologize if this is an issue that has been addressed somewhere else but
I have been searching everything I could think of for the last hour and
cannot this out:

I need to study lots of images and want to make flashcards based on images
with labels. Is there anyway to blank-out labels on pre-labeled images in
Anki? How does one create cards similar to the screenshot of the brain
flashcard in the iPad/iPhone app page? (see attached) Is this something
that is limited to just the mobile version or is there a way to do this
from my Mac?

My anatomy grades would be eternally grateful for the help!

Thanks!

Anki has no native support for image occlusion - you currently need to
do it yourself in an image editing application.

You are aware that you can "copy and paste" right into the Anki
browser right? This is an amazing
feature and still amazes me to this day. (basically, anki allows you
to dump the clipboard into
its window and then converts it to a jpeg, which then gets uploaded to
dropbox.. ! ).

Blacking out contents is really easy with MS Paint. Just select the
part you want to get blacked
out and press "delete".
