Hi,
in order to install you can create an ext3 partition with a different tool (gparted, partedmagic)
usually Fat32 partition are "seen" but installation cannot be with R/W mode enabled.
You probably have a disk having no partition. If this is the case it is a common problem (even if I do not know why creation of ext3 partition during installation is not managed correctly for SATA/PATA)
