We are not planing a respin for the eclair build yet, but you can send us the apk, depends on the type of application, we may include it in the later releases

Hi

Thanks for the immediate reply.

But my specific question is:

How to include the "AndroidMarket Place" application which is like AppStore for Android into Android-x86 platform.

I saw few tutorials which is helping to run AndroidMarket (AppStore) on Emulator, Similarly is it possible to run Android Market on Android-x86 Platform.

Thanks
Vijaydeep

Hi,

A contract with Google is necessary for it.
And you must pass CTS programs.
Google is negative against the contract except the cell-phone.

Yes, it is possible. You can put a apk on to SDCARD or install it from
a web page. The issue is that a APK may have ARM native code in it,
for such kind of applications, you will not be able to run it on

I tried SAM(?) application from http://slideme.org/ and the market
application worked fine with Android-x86 if sdcard was configured
properly. Though the contents are not as many as official market.

Thanks,
Owen
