So simple ! :-)

Yes same as mine, fake 3G module.
I don't need this kind of information but more technical informations.
I'll try to make a basic tuto on using a Live Ubuntu in order to get
the Hal information and the dmesg information I'm requesting.
I don't need these information from 1825ptz except if you have a 3G
build-in card or specific hardware.
I have these informations from Packard Bell Butterfly touch (with
capacitive touch screen) and Lenovo S10-3T, but none from Acer 1425P*,
1820PT* or 1420P*.
So if you have one of these laptops, please if you want your laptop to
be supported let me know, send me mail, and I'll try to explain you
how to send me these informations.
If you have an Acer touch clone laptops, do this also either.

As explained this can't be done in Live Mode. You have to install
Android-x86 in order to save your settings, applications and datas.
But french keyboard layout is roughtly limited, only alphabetical keys
are translated ! :(

Yes, you can use a USB stick or SD Card (with USB adaptor). Better is
to format it with FAT32, and give it an explicite name so you can
recognize it during the installation process.
I have not tested sticks or SD Card with multiple partitions and have
no time to support this.
I use micro USB stick such as LaCie : very very very small !!! :-)
Once inserted it in the port, it won't exceed 5 or 6 mm from the
laptop. So no need to remove it. You can just leave it in.
I also use micro USB adaptor with micro SD Card...
Boot with the Live Android-x86 and your new stick or SD Card in the
slots, and simply do the installation as proposed but to your stick or
SD Card, and follow the instruction.
Google if you need a tuto...
The Live Android should be /dev/sdb, and your stick or SD Card /dev/
sdc, /dev/sdd, ...

May be if you have a 3G stick with Sim card ??? ;-)
You have already done much. Thx
Beta 3 is almost fisnished, with at least a "little" better power
management: Fan out and temperature should now be better controled (at
least acerhdf module got compiled and loaded).
I barely hear the fan even with my ear stuck on the lappy. Temperature
is quite soft.
Ethernet with Wireless not yet fixed. If you use wireless, you have to
disable Ethernet BEFORE using Wifi.
Set the Display TimeOut to Never or it would be hard to wake up your
lappy. May work or not depending on some situations. I'm trying to
recover my previous settings either.
"Pinch to zoom" in the Browser now works (thanks to those you helped
me to fix it). May not work with some pages... ???
Untested 3G feature yet. Will try to do by the time of releasing this
beta 3.
More memory available.
Best regards,
