I just downloaded this for use on my new Transformer Prime. Thanks to all
concerned for this app, it's just what I was looking for!

My request: I've got my Squeezebox and Server both set up to list albums in
Artist/Year/Album order, so I naturally expect to see Squeezer listing them
in the same order. Squeezer seems to default to alphabetic order on launch,
however, so I have to change the sort order each time.

Please add a preference setting for the default album sort order. Or just
have the app grab the default from the server, if that's possible.

I second that request: there are a couple of other usability issues, but
this one is really the biggest problem to me, since it's an operation I
need to do frequently.
other than that, the app is great!!!!!!!!

This is in 1.0.0, just released. Start viewing albums, and Squeezer should
honour the server's settings. From the actionbar menu you can also
choose "View" to set a custom sort order.

This does not seem to work for me. When I enter artist view the albums
always are sorted by album name and I have to change the view settings
manually.
I've already tried to change the sort order in the Logitech Media Server
web interface (entering an artist and changing album sort order with the
small button in the down left corner). The web interface remembers this
setting, but not Squeezer. Disconnecting and restarting Squeezer has no
effect.

You are quite right, Squeezer does not follow the album sort order,
selected in the Web interface.

We read the server preference for album sort order, and use this as the
default sort order, when opening up af list of albums. (e.g. all albums or
the albums of an artist).

I set this preference on my SqueezeBox Radio via Home -> Settings ->
Advanced -> Album sort order.

I will submit a patch which will store this preference on the server, when
an album sort order is selected in Squeezer.

The Web interface does not set this preference. I'm not certain, but I
think its sets a cookie in the browser. To find out the rationale for this,
you have to talk to the server developers.
