It's simple, make a test app or load a demo or an example. They just work, by and large - no sound or multimedia yet though.

The installer indeed works on ubuntu 32 bit (in virtual box). I did
find wine a bit overkill yes.
The link with docs is for qt4.7 though, and I'm not sure that is
necessitas specific. I would like some good info about installing/
using necessitas, I still feel a bit blind coding.
