Can I port android into any linux compatible development kit!

Hi All,

I'm working on my graduation project which will be based on Android.
I'm now searching for a suitable development kit. I was wondering if I
can port android to any Linux 2.6 Compatible Development kit like this

Also, I will be pleased if anyone could recommend a development kit
that he tested himself!! Do you recommend a book or online resource
that can help me in porting android!!

Yes, it is possible to port Android to virtually any ARM based devkit.
There is already support for a bunch of OMAP boards (Zoom II, Beagle
Board, OMAP3EVM) and so on. If you wish to use an existing port and a
cheap devkit, the Beagleboard might be a good option.

You can visit http://beagleboard.org/ to find the Buy link. I got mine
from Digikey and you can't beat the $149 price..

IDA Systems (http://www.idasystems.net/beagle_board) sells this in
India. Visit that site to figure out how the shipping would be
handled..
