Hi,
We are currently considering of porting android onto our embedded
device which has ARMv4i.
Before we dig further, could anyone (if any knows) confirm that
android kernel DOES support our processor "ARMv4i"?
We tried to search online, but failed to find the answer to our
question.
Thanks in advance,
Soulivanh

The sources on the cupcake branch on the open source repository already include support for ARMv4T
I don't exactly what ARMv4i is (it's not listed on http://www.arm.com/products/CPUs/architecture.html),
but it looks like to be similar. Moreover, the OpenMoko folks have ported the Android kernel to run on
the FreeRunner which is ARMv4T, so I assume that what you're looking for is possible.

There is a successful port that builds for the Openmoko Freerunner ARM4T platform and can be found at http://git.koolu.org
